Nordicfest float A Fjord and friend Nordicfest 2011 The Vikings R Coming! September 11, 2011 Libby's 27th annual Nordicfest celebration was held over the weekend, featuring the standby attractions such as the Fjord horse show, Kootenai Valley Quilt Guild quilt show, juried craft show, Hardanger needlework show, Libby Fine Arts show, parade, Kootenai Karacters play, free entertainment, children's activities, the Heritage Museum special hours and everybody's favorite: the food booths! Returning for the second year was the meatball eating contest. The Copper Mountain Band provided music for a street dance held Friday and Saturday nights at the Pastime. Prince Will Lee and Princess Emily McBride (a traditional Scandinavian name) were honored as this year's Nordicfest royalty. Missing this year was the youth runnerfell, which will be held September 16 at the Libby Elementary School track beginning at 4:15 p.m. Photos by Maggie Craig, LibbyMT.com
