Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks officials and Troy Police killed a mountain lion in Troy. The young lion was seen multiple times in city limits and Friday morning kids walking to school saw the lion watching them.
Wardens had tried to trap the less than 100 pounds cougar.
Fish Wildlife and Parks and the Troy Police Department were able to corner the cat.
Recently, a number of pets have been reported missing.
In Libby, two cougars were reportedly sited on 1300 block of Louisiana Avenue in Libby several days ago (September 20th). The cougars ran toward Pioneer Park, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's office. _____________________________________________
