Loggers Western A District Champs

The American Legion Libby Loggers baseball team hosted the
Western A District Tournament over the weekend, bringing
teams from around northwest Montana including the Glacier
Twins, Kalispell Lakers, Kootenai Valley Rangers, Missoula
Mavericks, Mission Valley Mariners, Bitterroot Red Sox and
Bitterroot Bucs.

The Loggers came from behind in their first game against the
Bitterroot Red Sox Thursday, scoring nine runs in the
seventh inning to win the game 10-7.

Libby played the Kalispell Lakers on Friday, winning 8-5.
Playing Mission Valley on Saturday and winning 7-1, the
Loggers faced off against the Missoula Mavericks Sunday
afternoon, winning 10-4.

Congratulations to the Loggers for exceptional conference
play (undefeated at 18-0) and a great District showing. The
Loggers head to the state playoffs on Thursday at Polson vs.
the Fort Macleod Royals.
