LVFD 100th Anniversary Celebration
Bronze statue unveiled
July 10, 2011
A tribute to all the firefighters - past and present - who have served with the Libby Volunteer Fire Department over the last 100 years was held Saturday at Fireman's Park, followed by a fire truck parade to the Fire Hall, where an open house was held. Several retired firefighters and their families were on hand, as were current members and families and many community members wishing to honor our volunteer force. Future firefighters were honored as well.
Libby's Scott Lennard created a bronze statue of a fireman in full firefighting gear, which is surrounded on three sides by a memorial wall honoring those who have served at least three years.
Thank you, LVFD, for your service to our community, and to your families for their sacrifices.
