W.R. Grace donates $250,000 to Libby hospital

W.R. Grace has again donated a quarter million dollars to Libby's St. John's Lutheran Hospital. This is the twelfth consecutive year in order to help St John's provide high quality health care to area residents.

Part of the donation will go toward assuring that the hospital has the necessary infrastructure to conduct independent health screenings to Libby residents. Grace donations have totaled more than $2.5 million. The money has purchased an MRI machine, for instance.

Grace created a medical expense program for current and former residents of Libby who have asbestos-related conditions. The Libby Medical Program currently has over 1,100 enrollees and funds monitoring and treating asbestos-related conditions, illness and hospice care.
