June 8, 2011
Current Libby Dam outflow is ~ 15.0 kcfs.
Outflow began increasing to 18.0 kcfs on Tuesday, 07 June, starting at 1300 MDT. This adjustment is in response to lower than expected local inflow below the dam. Outflow will be held at 18.0 kcfs until further notice. Current Koocanusa Reservoir elevation is 2377.1 feet.
The reservoir is currently filling at approximately 2 to 3 feet per day, and this rate is expected to continue in the short-term.
This spring we will be actively monitoring Kootenai River conditions both above and below Libby Dam for flood control issues.
