by Duane Williams, KLCB-KTNY Radio
June 2, 2011

The Amtrak Empire Builder has been canceled until further notice. Concerns over trackage in North Dakota due to flooded roadbeds, by the Red River at Fargo has halted the train.

Amtrak has stopped the famous train, with no trains leaving Chicago West, and no trains leaving Seattle East.

Service will resume following inspection of the track and roadbed traveled by the Empire Builder.

The Empire Builder serves the Montana highline.
