Habitat for Humanity Foundation Celebration
Ninth house being built in Libby

The Kootenai Valley Partners Habitat for Humanity board of
directors celebrate the awarding of the 9th Habitat House to
Traci Crowell and her son, Adrian, Saturday during a
"Foundation Celebration." Ground-breaking has been done and
the foundation completed, and volunteers are ready to begin
work on completing the house for Traci and Adrian.

It was a busy day in Libby Saturday, and some other events
going on around town are pictured below.

Boy Scouts and Avid Gardeners The Avid Gardeners have adopted the landscaping project in the triangle by Dairy Queen, and the Boy Scouts helped out Saturday with graveling the pathways.

Planting trees at Fireman's Park The Libby Tree Board, Society of American Foresters and Boy Scouts planted trees around town Saturday. A total of 11 trees were planted at Fireman's Park, three at the cemetery, and two at Libby High School.

Fisher River meets the Kootenai The Fisher River is running high and muddy, meeting the Kootenai River which is also running high in anticipation of record spring runoff.

Libby Dam The dam was spilling 24,300 cubic feet per second on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. The reservoir is being lowered to accommodate high spring runoff.

American Legion Baseball The Libby Loggers played the Bitterroot Red Sox Saturday evening in a pre-season baseball tournament. #4 Tate Wilson pitches.
