The woman killed in a single vehicle roll-over accident on US Highway 2 near Lower Thompson Lake Wednesday around 6:30 p.m. has been identified as Kim Yost , 36, of Somers, Montana. According to MHP, the driver, Kim Yost, was pronounced dead at Kalispell Regional Medical Center due to head injuries.
Yost, the unrestrained driver, received fatal injuries from being ejected from the westbound sport utility vehicle. Yost's three daughters aged 8, 12, and 15, were wearing their seatbelts and received minor injuries from the roll-over collision, the car ended up against a guardrail.
The Montana Highway Patrol says passengers in the sport utility vehicle said Yost was leaning over attempting to locate something in the glove box when the vehicle exited the roadway.
The patrol noted the driver was the only person in the vehicle unrestrained and as a result was completely ejected from the vehicle coming to rest 40 feet from the final resting location of the vehicle. The three restrained passengers received minor injuries as a result of the same crash. _______________________________________________
