January 21, 2011

Chunks of ice litter Flower Creek Road near the intersection with Balsam Street Monday morning after breaking loose from a jam at the Balsam Street bridge. The ice jam, brought on by warming temperatures and steady rain, extended about 100 yards upstream and downstream of the bridge and led to flooding on both sides of the creek between Balsam Street and Highway 2.
