Richard Pimentel, a Viet Nam Veteran, whose life inspired the award-winning movie "Music Within", will be speaking in Libby, Montana Wednesday, September 29th.
Pimentel, now a successful trainer and motivational speaker, will attend a special, FREE screening of the movie, "", the Dome Theater on Wednesday evening, September 29th . He will be available after the movie for discussion, questions and answers.
"Music Within", which received numerous awards and great reviews from the likes of Roger Ebert and Larry King, follows Richard’s life from abused child, to deaf war veteran who befriends Art Honeyman who has cerebral palsy. Richard’s struggles to obtain his dreams after his life-changing war injury and his close association with Honeyman, inspired him to become an advocate for the disabled. "Music Within" is rated ‘R’ for Language.
On Thursday morning, September 30th, Dr. Pimentel will deliver an engaging presentation covering the Challenges of Employment in a Distressed Economy which will be structured to inspire a range of attendees including; employers, anyone who works with disabled individuals, returning military veterans and disabled individuals themselves.
Dr. Pimentel, is a one of a kind speaker on diversity issues, and has an exceptional ability to put a very human face on the special challenges encountered by disabled individuals on a daily basis. He will have you in stitches with his sharp-witted humor one minute and in tears the next!
