LIBBY - The Libby City Council has reversed themselves on a couple decisions.
They have decided to unlock the cemetery. The cemetery will now remain unlocked, but the one entrance where the boulders were placed will remain blocked, leaving two entrances, the Main entrance, and the entrance from Fireman Park open.
The Council reversed their decision concerning accepting $40,000 from the County for gravel from the City pit. The 40,000 will be used to place an asphalt over-lay on the Bowen Hill roads to surface a failed double chip seal application following the sewer project construction.
The City initially had decided not to accept the cash for gravel offer from the County and to pay the costs directly using either International Paper settlement money, or money from the 8 million dollar economic development grant money. _______________________________________________
