Fatal accident claims Idaho woman Tree falls on hiker by Duane Williams, KLCB-KTNY Radio July 9, 2010 Diane Triplett, from Post Falls, Idaho, died from injuries resulting from a tree 10 inches in diameter falling and striking her in the upper body. July 4th, about 4:00 p.m., Lincoln County Sheriff's Department received a call of a female that had been struck by a tree five miles up the Cedar Lake trail. David Thompson Search and Rescue and Libby Volunteer Ambulance responded. Triplett and a hiking companion were on their way up to Cedar Lakes. The hiking companion escaped with minor injuries.
