Kids' Fishing Day at Troy Pond

To encourage kids to get "hooked on fishing," the Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks; Forest Service; and the Army Corps of Engineers jointly hosted a kids' fishing day in Troy Saturday. The event was held at the Troy Pond near Roosevelt Park and was open to kids ages 12 and under. The weather cooperated with a beautiful, sunny day. By mid-morning, there were 110 children who had registered, with families ringing the pond. Prizes and free goodie bags were distributed to participants.
