FWP makes decision on Interbel/Woods Ranch WMA easement
by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks
June 2, 2010
Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), R-1, has completed an environmental assessment (EA) for the purpose of a utility easement for Interbel Telephone Cooperative (Eureka, MT) for existing and future communication cables across the Woods Ranch Wildlife Management Area in Lincoln County.
The draft EA was out for a 15-day public review through May 19, 2010. Two comments were received, both in favor of the project. Based on analysis in the EA, Alternative B, to grant approval of the utility easement, was found to be the preferred alternative. There were no changes to the draft EA; therefore, the draft becomes the final EA.
Copies of the decision notice are available at FWP headquarters, 490 N Meridian, Kalispell; Montana State Library, 1515 E 6th Ave., Helena; Lincoln County Libraries – 220 W 6th, Libby; 318 Dewey Ave., Eureka; and 207 N 3rd, Troy; and the FWP web site at fwp.mt.gov under Public Notices.
