The West Kootenai Annual Amish Community Auction will be held in Rexford on Saturday, June 12, 2010.
The annual auction features quilts, crafts, machinery, gazebos, furniture, log cabins and more from the Amish community. A portion of the auction proceeds benefit their community's private Amish Christian School.
This year they will be located behind the Kootenai Store & Craft in West Kootenai, west of Rexford, Montana, at 250 Whitetail Dr.
Schedule of events: 9:00 am: Starting time 10:30 am: Quilts, wall hangings, rugs & more 12-noon: Log cabins, machinery
They usually sell in three auction rings. There will be display booths and food available. Terms: Cash or check in US funds. There is no minimum and no reserve on their auction items.

The West Kootenai Annual Amish Auction features machinery, log homes, gazebos, log furniture, cedar furniture, hand stitched quilts, wall hangings, wood carvings, & handcrafted items. Their Quilt Auction portion of the sale has a large variety of quilts made locally and sent to them from across the country from Amish homes. Some used items may also be available needing a new home. Consignments and venders are welcome. Please call them first for availability and fees.
Lunch, served by the Amish community, will be available for purchase featuring barbecued chicken, side dishes, soft drinks, ice cream, homemade pie and lots of bakery goods.
Driving Directions: - From Eureka, MT: take Hwy 37 West, 14 miles to Koocanusa Bridge, go west across the bridge, turn right (north) and follow the signs. - From Libby, MT: go north on Hwy 37, 52 miles to The Koocanusa Bridge, go west across the bridge, turn right (north) and follow the signs.
Lodging is available in Eureka, Libby and Kalispell. They will have plenty of free parking and a limited amount of space for camping.
Mark your calendar for 2011 for this event. The Amish Auction is always scheduled to be the 2nd Saturday in June each year.
