CARD Groundbreaking Ceremony
Senator Max Baucus visits Libby for event

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon at the CARD (Center for Asbestos Related Disease) clinic in Libby. Senator Max Baucus, who has been instrumental in securing funding for medical care and research for Libby's victims of asbestos-related disease, was on hand to break ground for an expansion and renovation of the existing CARD clinic. With shovels in hand are (l-r): Dr. Brad Black, CARD medical director; Erin Gabrian, field representative for U.S. Representative Denny Rehberg; U.S. Senator Max Baucus; Marianne Roose, Lincoln County Commissioner; Virginia Sloan, field director for U.S. Senator Jon Tester; and Mike Giesey, president of the Board of Directors for CARD.
