FWP seeking comments on Lower Pipe Creek Restoration Project

Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP), Region One, is seeking public comment for the Lower Pipe Creek Restoration Project. The purpose of the project is to improve fisheries habitat, stabilize stream banks, and restore a healthy riparian community on lower Pipe Creek. The location of the project is approximately two miles northwest of Libby, Montana, in Lincoln County (T31N, R31W, S29 & 30).
Copies of the draft environmental assessment (EA) are available at FWP headquarters, 490 N Meridian, Kalispell; Montana State Library, 1515 E 6th Ave., Helena; Lincoln County Libraries – 220 W 6th, Libby; 318 Dewey Ave., Eureka; and 207 N 3rd, Troy; and the FWP web site at fwp.mt.gov under Public Notices. The draft EA is out for public review through 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2010.
