Hammons appointed to fill city administrator position

The City of Libby has a new City Administrator.

Mayor Doug Roll announced Friday he had hired former Troy Mayor and City Councilman Jim Hammons to fill the vacancy left by Dan Thede's recent retirement.

City Councilmen indicated over the weekend they knew nothing about Roll hiring Hammons. Councilman Peggy Williams said she found out about it when her daughter called from Texas and said she had found it on the Internet. Several other councilmen indicated over the weekend they too were unaware of Roll's action.
