Libby Polar Bears Year-End Plunge
December 27, 2009
The Libby Polar Bears celebrated the upcoming New Year with their end-of-the-year plunge in Libby Creek Sunday afternoon. With an air temperature of 25 degrees and a water temperature of 35 degrees, it was weather to a Polar Bear's liking. Seven hardy souls braved the frigid waters for the plunge as about two dozen spectators looked on. With a warming fire and refreshments provided by the Polar Bear Club, it was an entertaining event for those who came to watch. And bravo to those who took the chilly plunge!
