Libby Dam inflow and outflow update

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reports the following status for Libby Dam, Koocanusa Reservoir, and outflows for the Kootenai River from the dam.
• The November 2009 April-August (2010) inflow forecast for Koocanusa Reservoir is for 109% of average. • The end-of-November target reservoir elevation is 2436.0' (2459 is full pool); current elevation is 2440.38'; outflow from Libby Dam will increase over the latter half of the month to achieve this elevation. • More precise outflow information will be provided as information becomes available. • Outflow from Libby Dam will increase from 4,500 cfs to 9,100 cfs over two hours starting at noon Monday (MST), November 9, 2009. • The current Libby Dam operations plan is draft Koocanusa Reservoir to an elevation between 2434 ft to 2436 ft by November 30, 2009; current elevation (as of November 9, 2009) is 2440 ft.
