Libby Dam recreation update

LIBBY – Outflow from Libby Dam as of September 24, 2009 is at 6,000 cubic feet per second (6 kcfs). As of October 1, 2009 it will lower to 4,500 cubic feet per second (cfs) and will remain at 4.5 kcfs through the month of October.
The current elevation of Lake Koocanusa is 2441.6 feet above sea level which is approximately 17 feet from full pool. The projected elevation for the end of October is approximately 2440.8 feet above sea level. Souse Gulch will be closed on Oct. 1.
