An attempted armed robbery at a local gas station-casino Friday evening, September 11th, about 7:30.
The robber was attempting to holdup the Lucky Logger casino on Highway 2.
The male subject took off westbound, with City of Libby and sheriff's officers in high-speed pursuit. The Montana Highway Patrol placed stop sticks on Highway 2. The robber's car was reported going by the Kootenai Falls at 120 plus mile per hour. The suspect vehicle hit the stop sticks, but continued into Troy on the rims at an estimated 90 plus mph, through Troy. Pursuing police reported the vehicle getting "squirley" approaching the Yaak Hwy at 60 mph. It finally came to a stop. Officers arrested David William Redford, and Michael James Davis, two miles this side of the state line.
