Bob Hosea took photos recently of Ross Creek Cedars. The Ross Creek Scenic Area contains a grove of giant cedars, some reaching 175 feet tall and 8-feet in diameter, reminiscent of the giant Sequoias of northern California. There is a peaceful, self-guided nature trail that winds for almost a mile through the grove of massive trees. Some of the trees are over 200 years old. To visit the grove, take State Highway 56 (just east of Troy) south past Bull Lake and follow the signs to the grove. Bad Medicine Campground is located nearby for those who wish to camp in the area.
