The Heritage Museum opened for the season Saturday, with many of its traditional grand opening events. Included this year was a National Guard helicopter available for inspection, the Kootenai Muzzleloaders with an authentic exhibit of 1800s mountain life, outdoor visiting equipment and tool displays, indoor entertainment and presentations, and a ham radio demonstration. The museum is now open for the summer: Monday-Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Admission is by donation, and volunteers are always welcome. The museum is located at 34067 U.S. Hwy. 2.
