Three-piece band wins LHS talent show

An instrumental cover of the Primus song "Shake Hands With Beef" by Lewis Brossman, Owen Fifield and Luke Dahm took first place Friday night during Libby High School Student Council’s first annual talent show.
The winning performance featured a rousing drum solo by Brossman with bass by Fifield and guitar by Dahm. The trio won a $75 Visa card.
Second place and a $50 Visa card went to the Libby Step Team for a choreographed dance routine. Third place and a $25 Visa card were awarded to Crawford Dinning for his performance of an original piano composition.
Also performing were Tyler Kneller with a classical piano piece, Jason Schikora with a lip-sync performance, Lindsey Kehn with an original piano and vocal composition, Andrew Dlask with a performance on bass clarinet, and Benjamin Pingleton with an electric guitar performance.
Judges for the talent show were Lorraine Braun, Shelley Fisher, Levi Edwards-Myslicki and Hunter Sheffield. Kelly Morford served as master of ceremonies.
