Gunmen kill animals, open fire on Kootenai Pets for Life in Troy
No human injuries; 2 suspects in custody

Monday morning two gunmen approached the Kootenai Pets for Life animal shelter in Troy, opened fire, killing four outside cats at point blank range, and then opened fire on the building.
No other animals or persons were reported injured in the hail of bullets.
Troy Police have two suspects in custody. The names have not yet been released. The two will be charged with cruelty to animals.
Troy Police will recover the bullets from the cats for ballistic evidence against the alleged killers in court.
Ironically, Kootenai Pets for Life is a no-kill shelter. ______________________________
