After several months of planning and waiting for spring to arrive, contractors started moving ground this week on Lincoln County Credit Union’s new building site at the corner of Sixth Street and Commerce Way.
Dave Boulware, the owner of Boulware Construction, will be managing the building project. LCCU has selected a variety of local sub-contractors for the project.
Scheduled to be completed in November, the 9,000 square foot building will have a community room so the credit union can offer financial education sessions to Lincoln County residents. There will also be a consumer resource area with two computers offering internet access.
"It is a privilege for LCCU to add a beautiful new building to our community, and I’m very thankful for the opportunity I have been given to work with so many quality people to bring this to fruition," said LCCU president Chari Lucas.
"This is exactly what the city of Libby and Lincoln County needs," added LCCU board chairman Bill Bischoff. "The new facility project will produce local jobs, purchasing of supplies locally, and an excitement for the future."
