Ski area near Libby by Duane Williams, KLCB 1230 AM Libby News Radio December 25, 2008 Turner Mountain, usually open for Christmas week skiing, is closed. The ski area did receive a big dump of snow on December 12 - about a foot. On December 18th they got 5 more inches bringing the base to 20" at the summit and 16" at the base. However, it is light/dry powder to the rocks. Cold temperatures have delayed adequate base development. Keep checking back to the ski area website for the latest updates on opening date for the season. |
