South Flower X-Country Ski Report 12/28/08
by Greg Rice
December 28, 2008

Grooming was last done Friday a.m. (skate and classic everywhere except just classic above Jabber Jct. (upper part of Treasure Tour); much thanks to Mark Mason. Saturday afternoon Roller Coaster, Shorty's Loop and the play area were groomed again for the night skiing.

Fortunately, the warm Pacific air held off until after our night ski and we had a great time. The skiing Friday and Saturday was very good.

Sunday there was just too much wet (sticky for Jon's sake!) snow to groom (or to get to the parking lot!). There is another snow storm predicted for Monday so likely will not groom again until Tuesday. The temperatures are supposed to stay above 20 degrees during the day the rest of the week but not quite as warm as today hopefully.

We are hoping to have an evening ski on Wednesday for New Years. The forecast looks good at the moment.

We will keep you posted on grooming, parking lot and road conditions (anyone with info let me know), and Wed. night ski.

Remember Monday, Jan. 5th at 7:00 p.m is the club meeting at the First National Bank Community Room upstairs.
