Polar Bear Weather

Polar Bear Rick Klin displays some ice from Libby Creek during his swim Sunday afternoon. Sunday's air temperature was about zero, with the water temperature slightly above freezing. The Polar Bears' New Year plunge will be held next Sunday, December 28, at 2:00 p.m. at the Libby Creek bridge on Farm to Market Road. Spectators are always welcome, and brave swimmers are invited to bring in the New Year the Polar Bear way. More information about the Polar Bears can be found at Libby Polar Bear Club.
