Libby vermiculite to be studied
EPA gives $2.1 million research grant to Hamner Institute for a 3-year study

The Environmental Protection Institute (EPA) has given a $2.1 million grant to the Hamner Institutes for Health Sciences to fund a three-year study of vermiculite from the Libby area. The study will include inhalation exposure to laboratory animals (rats), definitive toxicity studies, and analyzing animal tissues after exposure.
