Clear and Cold
December 15, 2008
The Cabinet Mountains stood bright and beautiful Monday morning as the day dawned clear and cold. Temperatures will remain cold for the coming week, and a winter storm watch was issued Monday afternoon in effect from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon. A vigorous weather system is expected to develop and direct significant moisture over the region late Wednesday and Thursday. Snow accumulations of six to eight inches in the valleys and up to one foot in the mountains is possible during these periods. A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant snow accumulations and strong winds that may impact travel.
