by Maggie Craig November 2, 2008 The Fred Brown Riverfront Pavilion was dedicated Saturday afternoon, honoring former mayor and city councilman Fred Brown's decades of public service and the numerous donors, volunteers and contractors who worked on the structure. A large crowd enjoyed the music, refreshments, and hearing how the pavilion evolved. More improvements are planned for the pavilion and surrounding area, such as hot and cold running water, electrical outlets, restrooms, walkways, landscaping, and more. The pavilion was erected by Meadowlark Log Homes as a loan repayment from the city's economic development fund. |
