The City of Eagles is under new management.
The Libby City Council appointed Councilman Doug Roll to the position of Mayor Thursday evening in a 4 to 2 vote, filling the seat of now Lincoln County Commissioner, Tony Berget.
Roll was sworn into the office by City Judge Lucille Briggs immediately following the vote.
With Roll moving to the Mayor's chair, there is a City Council position open to any resident of the City of Libby. Individuals interested in the appointment may file a Letter of Interest with the City offices. Selection of a new councilman will be made the first part of December.
Roll will serve as Mayor until the next City election, when he will have to be elected to retain the seat, as will the replacement councilman. _______________________________ Story by Duane Williams, KLCB 1230 AM Libby News Radio, www.todaysbestcountryonline.
