The Rotary Club of Libby will be holding a pancake breakfast and rummage sale Saturday, August 16, 2008.
The event will take place at the Libby Shopping Center at the former Ben Franklin location.
The local Rotary Club is attempting to raise a portion of their $18,000 contribution needed to construct a water distribution system in a remote village in Guatemala.
The total cost of the project is $35,000 to improve the water supply to a village of about 2500. The existing system was installed some 30 years ago and is in need of replacement.
Rotary International, known for its campaign to wipe out polio in the world, is focusing efforts on clean water worldwide. Rummage items may be donated by contacting Eileen Carney at 406-293-6407. Carney said the rummage items will not be priced, and will be sold by donation.
The breakfast will begin at 8am and will feature pancakes, sausage, beverages. Breakfast will be by donation.
