Relay For Life 2008
August 8, 2008
The second annual Lincoln County Relay For Life got under way last Friday evening with the first lap around the Asa Wood track dedicated to cancer survivors. The event is held to raise funds for the battle against cancer.
Two dozen teams organized to walk around the track Friday night to raise funds through pledges, and other fund-raising activities included raffles, gift certificates, food sales, face painting, games, and the Glacier Bank dunk tank. Numerous sponsors also contributed to the event.
In attendance were two special cancer survivors: Blake Knapp, age 6, and Carol Roberts, who has been a cancer survivor since 1972.
The event raised about $50,000. Thank you Libby and Troy for such outstanding support in the fight against cancer!
