Parmenter Trail CLOSED Two mile section closed for public safety due to Parmenter Fire by Kootenai National Forest July 28, 2008 (Libby) - Due to a wildfire burning in the area, the Parmenter Creek trail (#140) is closed until further notice. The closure is from the trailhead to the junction with the Parmenter Tie trail (#15). This is a distance of about two miles. The remainder of the trail remains open to forest users. To access the open portion, hikers may use the Flower Creek trailhead and travel on Trail #15 which connects with the Parmenter Trail. We will keep the public informed as we receive more fire information. Updates will be made available on the www.inciweb.org/ or www.libbymt.com websites.
