The murder of a 67 year man at the Sylvan Lake Campground last weekend is still surrounded by mystery. Two teens are in custody in the Flathead County jail after fleeing to Kalispell in the victim's truck apparently following the murder. The victim's identity has not been released, police are looking to a third person of interest, and the male teen is not being identified. The other teen is a 19 year old woman, Heather Henson, of Kalispell.
The Lincoln County Sheriff's office says the murder occurred about 5:30 a.m. Sunday at the campground between Libby and Kalispell. The person of interest is thought to have given the teens a ride to the campground in his white pickup. A gun is the suspected murder weapon. Officials have not established a motive or reason for the crime. The body of the unidentified victim was taken to the Montana Crime Lab in Missoula for autopsy. _________________________________________
