Libby Dam outflow will decrease from 17,000 cfs to 15,000 cfs on Friday evening (July 11) at 9:00 P.M. MDT. Outflow will again decrease on Saturday evening from 15,000 cfs to 13,000 cfs from 9:00 to 11:00 P.M. MDT. The reduction in outflow at this time is in response to the NOAA-Fisheries (Salmon) Biological Opinion requirement to draft Koocanusa Reservoir to elevation 2,439' by the end of August (current reservoir elevation is 2,444.43' and inflow into the reservoir was 20,000 cfs as of midnight, July 10).
