Raising funds for cancer research by Maggie Craig July 12, 2008 Dr. John Hall and his wife, Jane, arrived in Libby Friday afternoon on their trek around the country. Dr. Hall is riding around the perimeter of the United States on his bicycle, while Jane follows in their support vehicle. The trip around the country will cover over 12,000 miles in 120 days. Their trip began April 1 in California, the first anniversary of Jane's diagnosis of breast cancer. The objective of their journey is to raise funds for cancer support and research, and to raise awareness about the disease. Screenings for many types of cancer can save your life if detected early.
