The Libby Polar Bears took their 24th, and last, plunge of the season Sunday afternoon with a water temperature of 44 degrees. Several spectators were on hand to cheer the intrepid bunch of swimmers. Pictured left to right, just before their dip: Cody Schreiner, Elliott Wickward, Jessica Hartman, Beth Wickward, Steve Sonju and Polar Bear president Rick Klin.
Polar Bear spectator Marion Hayden received a special certificate for being a faithful Polar Bear watcher. Out of the 24 swims this season, Marion has watched 20 of them. Not only has she attended 20 swims this season, but she has been a devoted spectator for the full eight seasons the Libby Polar Bears have been in existence. Marion says she likes to watch, but she's not going in. And speaking to Polar Bear Rick, she says, "I think you're crazy."
The Polar Bears appreciate Marion and all the spectators who visit and provide encouragement.
