South Flower Ski Update: Feb. 19
Night skiing Wednesday
by Greg and Susie Rice
February 19, 2008

Wed the 20th we will light up the lights and have a fire to observe the lunar eclipse at South Flower Ski course! The conditions should still be good as the temperatures up there have been at freezing or below since the weekend and the forecast is good.

It is supposed to be partly cloudy Wed evening so hopefully we will get to see the eclipse. Below are details provided by Mark Mason:

The eclipse is Feb 20th... 6:05 pm MST first visible; 6:43 pm partial; 8:00 pm total; 8:26 mid; ends 8:52 pm. The Earth's shadow will totally engulf the moon. Saturn will be its biggest and brightest for the year. Next total lunar eclipse visible here will be in 2010.
