Libby Youth Reaches Out
Donates X-Box to sick children at St. John’s Hospital
by St. John’s Lutheran Hospital
February 5, 2008
Cooper Brown, son of Paul and Marillee Brown of Libby, recently donated his X-Box, and several games for the system, to St. John’s Lutheran Hospital. Cooper is currently trying to save money to purchase a newer x-box system.
When asked why he didn’t want to sell his old one to add to his savings he said, “I am trying to raise money to buy a newer system, but, instead of selling this one, I would rather give it to kids to have fun on it while they are sick.”
KC Hoyer, St. John’s Marketing and Foundation Director stated that they are thrilled to be receiving this gift. “It was refreshing to find this kind of selfless generosity among our youth. This gift will go a long way to help our younger, and older, patients past the time while they are healing. We are very grateful to Cooper and his family for their generosity,” stated Hoyer.
