Heavy Snow Warning

The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a Heavy Snow Warning in effect from 5:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Thursday.
A strong weather system is expected to bring periods of moderate to heavy snow to the Kootenai and Cabinet region. Six to 12 inches of new snow is likely late tonight and Thursday in the valleys and up to 18 inches over the higher terrain.
A Heavy Snow Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
