December 13, 2007
The National Weather Service in Missoula has issued a heavy snow warning in effect from 5:00 a.m. Tuesday until 5:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Five to ten inches of new snowfall is expected across the Kootenai and Cabinet region from Tuesday morning through Tuesday night as another Pacific storm system moves east across the area.
A heavy snow warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Drive cautiously.
