South Flower Ski Course

Happy first day of winter!!
It's Saturday morning and the South Flower cross-country ski course is being groomed. The entire course is in "primo" condition!! The conditions up there have been different than the valley floor. There is no ice. The snow is sugary. The entire course is being re-groomed this morning, setting both a classic track and a skate lane. From Jabber Junction to the Clear Cut it will just be a classic track.
The city has also done a great job of plowing and the road is in excellent condition.
Night skiing begins tonight and every Saturday that conditions permit. Shorty's Loop (about 1 K) will be lit with the propane lanterns beginning about 5:30pm until about 9pm - depending on participation. We'll have a fire going and the fixings for hot chocolate and tea. This is a great place to share Christmas goodies and cookies!
