Heavy Snow Warning Now in Effect Winter Storm Watch Canceled by National Weather Service November 26, 2007 (Missoula) - The National Weather Service in Missoula has now issued a heavy snow warning in effect from 9:00 p.m. Monday evening to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday above 3500 feet. New snowfall accumulations of 5 to 11 inches can be expected from late tonight through Tuesday afternoon above 3500 feet. Locations below 3500 feet could see new snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. A heavy snow warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous.
