Public Meeting Scheduled for Libby Creek Adit

Libby, Mont. – The Kootenai National Forest will be hosting an informational meeting to discuss the proposed Libby Creek Adit at the Supervisor’s Office in Libby on October 9, 2007, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Officials from the Kootenai Forest and Montanore will be there to answer questions. Public comments will be accepted at the meeting.

Montanore Minerals Corporation is planning to resume exploration activities utilizing the Libby Adit. The Libby Adit is located on private lands owned by Mines Management, Inc., approximately 12 miles south of Libby on Highway 2 on USFS Road 2316.

“This meeting will be an opportunity for the public to get up-to-date information on the Libby Adit,” said Kootenai Forest geologist John McKay.
