Nordicfest 2007
September 9, 2007
The 2007 Libby Nordicfest was held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 7-9. Nordicfest seemed a bit smaller than in years past, but the mood was still festive for Libby's 23rd annual celebration of Scandinavian culture.
Friday afternoon's rain dampened Runnerfell and emptied the food court area, but Saturday dawned bright and beautiful for the parade. The Treasure Tones, Kootenai Karacters and Suomalainen Sisters performed and free outdoor entertainment could be enjoyed throughout the weekend. The quilt show and juried craft show provided their own brand of entertainment for quilters and browsers. There was the Fine Arts Show and Hardanger embroidery show showcasing talented artists. The Fjord Horse Show is always a popular attraction for Nordicfest visitors. And don't forget the food...one of Nordicfest's highlights. Who can resist the elephant ears?
